John Sedlack (he/him) is a dad first, filmmaker, photographer, podcaster, RPG writer, and streamer.

Growing up, John always had a penchant for nerdy things and movies. In 2011 he gratuated from Temple University in Philadelphia, with a B.A. in Film & Media Arts. After a little while he wound up down in Austin, TX working freelance film in the camera department. He eventually went on to help start up Austin Movie Gear which continues to support and gear up film workers in Austin.

While living in Austin, John along with 4 of his closest friends played a Dungeons and Dragons game for charity. That game eventually evolved into the Distinguished Adventurers podcast, and in 2019 they were invited out to perform at D&D Live in Los Angeles. John has gone on to write adventures for Wizards of the Coast’s organized play system as well as streaming games on twitch.

In 2021, John and his wife, welcomed their daughter into the world, and in 2022 they moved their family to the Portland, OR area to be closer to their family for the little one. John is excited for the oppurtunities that lie ahead in Portland.
